High Achievers’ Secret to More Wins
🎧🎧 Listen to Sunday Sunshine HERE 🎧🎧
Too often, my first instinct is to measure what’s missing instead of what’s working.
I can spot what’s wrong with my day faster than I can celebrate what’s right.
Can you relate?
“I should be farther ahead by now.”
“I know what I did wrong.”
“It’s not working.”
“I should have done it differently.”
We rarely spend time noticing where we’re already winning. We rarely spend time noticing where we’re already winning. In fact, so many of the high achievers who seek true success fall into this same trap.
When I ask clients, “What do you want in your life?” the answers roll off—goals, desires, dreams.
But almost always missing? The wins they already have.
Love. Family. Health. Friendships. A career. A business. Achievements big and small.
I'd be a fraction of who I am without my family and friends.
You already have so much, too.
But the mind defaults to lack. So much of what you want you already have.
Instead of celebrating what is, the mind fixates on what’s not. It’s a default setting to scarcity, not abundance. And for high achievers redefining success, this shift in perspective is critical.
Without a practice of gratitude or reflection, you miss how far along you actually are.
You’ve built. You’ve created. You’ve endured. You’ve pushed through.
When was the last time you actually listed those wins? My guess—because I ask clients this all the time—is either never, or so long ago you can’t remember.
For me: Winning = Joy, Ease, Impact → Living SuccessFULL.
My list from that definition from what I already have and done? Huge.
Winning isn’t luck or entitlement. It comes from intention. From discipline. From showing up by design, not by default. And when you practice this consistently, you’ll thrive with the same powerful habits that help high performing leaders succeed.
By design wins the day. Every time.
How much time are you spending designing the winning game of your life—today, this week, this year?
If I looked at your calendar and where you are investing your time, what would it tell me about what you really want to win?
Stop wishing. Stop waiting. Stop defaulting. Start creating. Intentionally.
Because your thoughts create your feelings. Your feelings drive your actions. Your actions produce your results. Every single win begins in your mind with a thought.
For me, this is a daily practice—in my journal, in my choices, as the CEO of Me.
Consciously creating.
So today, make a long list of where you are already winning in life, where you already have all of the things you want and love—and then begin writing the list of the wins you want to create.
Extraordinary doesn’t happen by accident. It happens by design.
That, my friend, is winning.

📓 Journal Prompts for the Week Ahead
What do I make responsible for why I can’t have what I want?
What things do I have power over when it comes to getting what I want?
Since I am the cause and my life is the effect what must I take action on from here?
Write three feelings that represent success to you. What's different about you when you feel them?
