Attitude

3 min read

Attitude is everything. I know this first hand having been treated for AML Leukemia. I focused on what was in my control. Attitude and mindset got top billing. That’s a strength of mine.

Strength doesn't have just one definition.

You get to define it for yourself.

Think about the power in that. Authority over yourself. To those of you who think that's ‘woo woo’, it is not. You get to choose what to believe in about you and your abilities. You get to choose how to leverage them to show up as your ‘best’ self. I love this commercial from Fitbit. This simple turn of phrase shifted my thoughts from the negative to success and inner courage. Great advertising makes you think and feel, and this one did just that. Click the image to watch.

What’s strong with you?!!!!!!

What are your strengths? When was the last time you’ve thought about them deeply, along with how they’ve helped you achieve so much, how you can rely on them when you are weak?

Knowing your strengths, you can then translate them for more power and confidence each day. Even more happiness.

We are so hard on ourselves. We see our weaknesses clearly. When something goes wrong, that inside voice of ours speaks in harsh tones and merciless judgment.

Does this sound familiar…

Lost car keys: What’s wrong with me?

Typo in your email: I’m so careless.

Forgotten calendar appointment: I’m such a loser.

Not speaking up in a meeting: I’m so bad at this. I just can’t.

Calling someone you’ve met 10x by the wrong name: I suck.

Replying to all on an email when what you wrote was for just one colleague: I’m so stupid, just the worst person ever, how could I, what’s wrong with me, I’m so stupid, I deserve it.

Focusing on your strengths is a lot less drama.

Once you know your strengths you can intentionally aim them at your success. If you are having trouble getting clear on your strengths: Ask a friend. Family member. Colleague. Read your client testimonials. Look at performance reviews for the good stuff. Look at recommendations people have written on your behalf. Just do it. (From Fitbit to Nike-I'm feeling like sporty-spice.)

Success comes from being intentional.

What if you woke up each morning and asked: What’s Strong with ME?

High achievers focus on their strengths and use them to counter-balance their weaknesses. Keep in mind, you don’t have to be good at too many things. Be good at what you are good at and what comes naturally.

You will experience faster growth for yourself with your strengths over prioritizing improving on your weaknesses.

When you apply our strengths, real change take holds.

Tell me, what strong with you?

Commit them to paper. My favorite journals....

P.S. If you want to scale your business, reignite your confidence, take the reins back and have a massive impact in 2022, hire a Coach. A Coach is a co-pilot helping you see new possibilities, reignite the life and business you want with an action plan to achieve it. Most of all, someone to help you get out of your own damn way.

There’s a proven formula I work on with my clients that will have you powerfully leading yourself and your business to stronger outcomes.

Here’s a sample of the experience from one client: “Christina is incredibly knowledgeable and encouraging and truly has a gift for focusing on what people truly need to prioritize and focus their energy on, while simultaneously being inspirational and encouraging the self-reflection and confidence every business owner needs to grow professionally and personally.”
